No not the breakdown builder card game. This is something new.
They haven't been secret about it, being that they've been talking about it for some time now, but Arbiter posted this picture today on their facebook, which has to do with the Card Game Vocalist Connor Arbiter has been working on. The game is Magic The Gathering inspired 'ish'. (The Sins Of The Past EP was also Magic the Gathering inspired.) However the story behind their game may serve as a back story for an album in the future, and that idea could make for a very interesting album. I imagine that the future release would have a bundle option with the card game and the album. I'm not sure it'll be done in time to coincide with the release of Ironclad/Machinations.
Anyhow, My interest is piqued, and I'm still stoked for the new album.

ReplyDeleteJust a heads up though that picture we posted was a hint at the "album" coming after Ironclad/Machinations, not the card game. The card game is based on our back story (which yes, is what I/M is also based on)
Also keep an eye out for the hardcover book that's also based on the back story.
